Halifax and New York City!


YAYYYYY!!!!!!

It was a success!

We visited friends in Halifax and then we went to New York City for the 4th of July!

We drove up to Halifax over four days. Our first night stop was in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, where we stayed with Uncle D and Aunt W from our daddy’s side. We arrived there a little later than we have expected, but it was okay. That was very fun to catch up with them after not having seen them in like a year.
Our second night stop was in Hartford, Connecticut. We arrived pretty early- around 6-ish, so we had a while to catch up after like 9 years. It was great! Mom and Pris caught up- they were instantly getting each other like they’d never been apart. They might have gotten a little tipsy- just MIGHT have. But it was all great fun! Robe, Mad, Hen, Pris, Sandbox, Rake, Mom, and I ate dinner and then we looked at pictures from Camp Wilmot from when we were maybe 4 years old. And then we played Trivial Pursuit while Pris and Mom got evermore drunk- which meant more fun for us. =)
When everyone else went to bed, Robe, Rake, and I stayed up and watched “He’s Just Not That Into You” and we talked and caught up. It was fun. I went to bed after that, but Rake and Robe stayed up to watch “Across the Universe”.
We were back on the road again, and the next night, we just stayed in a Motel in Freeport, Maine, and swam in the indoor pool a little.
Then, we drove the last leg into Halifax, and since Mom had gotten a crisis call while we’d stopped for lunch, we got delayed a couple hours. Turned out we arrived around 10:30…quite a bit later than we’d anticipated. =/
I got dropped off at my friend- Mo-‘s house around 11pm. I stayed with her the whole trip (besides staying with another friend one night, and staying with Mom and Sandbox another night.) She’d stayed up for me for hours, so excited to see me, and we caught up and stayed up almost all night talking.
The next morning, we had to get up a little early to go to SCHOOL! I’d already been out of school for weeks, but I was eager to see a bunch of my friends at school. They were just finishing their last full day. I saw quite a few people there and talked with them. We only stayed a little while to see people, and then went back to Mo’s house to chill.
Well, that day was Prom, so we got ready and when my date- And, Mo’s date Freddy, Aim and her date Sole, and Micky and her date Crick all arrived, we took pictures and then headed off to the dance. The dance was GREAT fun!! Awww, it was amazing! They played a few Michael Jackson songs as well in tribute to him since that was the evening he died. I met up with a bunch of people and I loved talking with them and catching up. I was SO sweaty after that dance, it was INSANE! But after the dance, we changed for an after party and got our swim suits and went to Page’s. We went swimming in her pool in her back yard for a little bit (which is HUGE!) and went on her trampoline. Then we went to her bonfire and cooked some hotdogs over the fire and chilled around there. I talked with a BUNCH of people and met a few kids. I’d met them before, but never really got to know them, but we hit it off immediately! It was great! Jill, Sam, and Rik were SO fun! We laughed for HOURS! I swear, I must’ve been drunk- drunk of energy and excitement and fun. I was so crazy, but it was great. We also blasted Michael Jackson at the after party and all busted out our bad impressions of Michael Jackson’s moves. Yeah, the whole group of us…Mo, Page, Jill, Sam, Micky, Rik, And, Ten, Crick, Sole, Aim, Lerrr, and a bunch of us all hung out and talked and played around and it was SUCH a great night!! We went home around 2:30 in the morning…That was the best night I had there along with Canada Day!!
Anyway, I hung out with a bunch of people over the next few days. Saw Teej, and Shnizzle, Page, Aim, Rik, See, and a bunch of other folks. I swam at Mo’s lake a lot and we talked a lot and just did random awesome stuff.
I saw Star Trek with Sandbox and Mom, and stayed the night with them. We went garage sailing the next morning and got some REALLY awesome stuff!
Then, on Monday, Mo and I got up around 6am and went to the last day of school (which was for like an hour and a half) and I took a bunch of pictures there too and saw more people. It was great!
Then came Canada Day on Wednesday! We all gathered at the Macs’. Mo, Rake, Sandbox, Mom, Gil, And, Frase, Cal, Captain AJ Soul-patch (Rake’s boyfriend who flew up to join us), Sho, and I. We had a barbeque and hung out and played card games- SPOONS! We also played rock band and played basketball outside. Then we discovered that we had a flat tire! We were freaking out ‘cause we wanted to see the fireworks. Sho, Captain AJ Soul-Patch, and Rake got a ride there from a friend, and Mom found a spare and drove Mo and I there to see the Fireworks in Bedford. We met up with Stone, Cot, and Lerrr, and it was VERY busy there. We talked while we waited for the fireworks to start, and when they started, I took a video of the show. I had JUST enough memory left- I had 10 minutes and 29 seconds left to fill, and the show took up 10 minutes and 23 seconds. I got the whole show! It was PERFECT timing!
Had a LOT of fun in Halifax, but I should wrap this bit up…I had an amazing time!

So we went down to New York City, and went down to Times Square for the 4th of July. We walked around for hours. It was INCRDEIBLE! I still can’t believe it.
We also got to see a Broadway show!!!! Rake, Sandbox, Captain AJ Soul-Patch, and I all saw Avenue Q while Mom and Goo (who met up with us in New York City) saw Hair!!! God, it was AMAZING!!!
We went all around Midtown New York, and it was unbelievable- I had a killer time!! I still can’t believe it!!! Gosh, I wanna live there!! I wanna go back RIGHT NOW!!!
